Louisiana Hay & Medical Supplies for Horses
The Ocala Horse Alliance partnered with Ocala Veterinarian, Dr. Brent Barrett and his wife, Tracey Barrett, to get supplies, hay and grain to Louisiana quickly. Once there, the supplies will be delivered to those in need by National Equine Disaster Relief.
Parts of Louisiana had been ravaged by the hurricane and intense flooding. Hundreds of horses were without pasture and were being rescued…many still in flooded fields without access to grass or hay. Rescue groups were working to get the horses to safe ground, but hay, grain and supplies were desperately needed.
